A buyer’s guide for 40+

Choosing products with plant extracts – a calm buyer’s guide

Food supplements, gels and cosmetics with plant extracts come in many forms and with many promises. Your Natural Harmony helps you look at them calmly: what to check before you buy, how to read a product and how to compare it with others.

Before you buy, take a moment to check. A few simple questions make the choice much easier.

Five questions worth asking about any product

You do not need special knowledge – just a few minutes and the product page or package in front of you.

  1. What exactly is inside?

Look for the full list of plant extracts and other ingredients, not only the names highlighted on the front of the package.

  2. How much is in one serving?

A good label states the amount of each extract per daily serving. Names alone say little about the product.

  3. Who makes the product?

Check that the manufacturer’s name, address and contact details are easy to find.

  4. How is it meant to be used?

Read the directions: how often, how much and for how long the manufacturer recommends using the product.

  5. What should I be careful about?

Read the warnings on the label. If you take other preparations, are pregnant or unsure, ask a doctor or pharmacist first.

  • 5
WarningsWho should not use the product and what to pay attention to.

  • Manufacturer’s claims stay claimsWhat a manufacturer declares is always shown as the manufacturer’s statement.
  • No promisesWe do not promise results and we do not replace the advice of a doctor or pharmacist.
  • Advertising clearly labelledPromotional materials are always marked as “Advertorial” at the top of the page.

If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, take other preparations or have a health condition, talk to a doctor or pharmacist before using any new product.
